bu ke jiu yao（cannot be saved by medicine）
In the Western Zhou Dynasty, King Li exploited and oppressed the common people and slaves. He greedy monopolized the mountains and rivers, did not allow the people to hunt, chop wood, fishing, also sent spies to monitor their words and deeds; He would kill anyone who talked about him. The people could not bear it anymore. People everywhere rebelled, and the rule of the Zhou dynasty became more and more unstable.
Seeing the Zhou dynasty’s regime in danger, the ministers concerned about the country were very sad. Old minister Fanbo urged King Li to change his oppressive politics. However, King Li did not listen. Some officials mocked Fanbo, saying that he was incompetent and did not understand the situation. Vanbo was so angry that he wrote a long poem expressing his anxiety, including this verse: “Heaven is punishing you, but you are proud. You are too sick to be saved with medicine.”
As expected by Fanbo, in 841 BC, the “people riot” broke out, civilians and slaves took up arms, rushed into the palace, Zhou Li King fled in a hurry, never to return to the capital.
不可救药
